10 years old Matilda has spent her whole life in Dull-on-Sea, drove off boredom by immersing herself in adventure novels.
NUGGET
is Jim’s little sister and a real condensed version of a pirate !
BRENT
is the son of the owner of the sailing centre. Before Jim arrived he was considered the best sailor in town…
ALEXIA
is a member of Jim and Matilda’s gang! She is the lookout. Of course: her father is the lighthouse keeper!
MAX
is the gunner. The fact that he looks like a puny little four-eyes has often triggered mocking remarks from Brent and his gang.
GRANDPA
is a true pirate ! He lives shut up aboard his ship and refuses to come off it !
MRS BEVAN
very much set in her ways, does not appreciate - no, not the least little bit - the behaviour of Jim and his family !
BONES
is Jim’s faithful canine companion. He follows him everywhere !
THE JOLLEY-ROGERS
enjoy the good things in life, are down to earth, frivolous, careless of convention, but welcoming, curious and open-minded.
